Our internal firm services team focuses on the firm’s critical business needs. Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Preparation of monthly journal entries and workpapers.
Assistance with the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc reports as needed.
Preparation of workpapers and supporting documents for any required regulatory filings.
Analyze and coordinate payment of intercompany balances.
Attendance/support with presentations at board meetings as needed.
Preparation of periodic partner/member distributions.
Involvement in the development of annual financial plans.
Preparation of Affiliated Entity tax workpapers.
Preparation of Partner individual income tax returns.
Maintain Partner capital account activity.
Participation in tax meetings as required.
Assistance with various legal documents as needed, including partner notes, partner retirement and/or withdrawal agreements, and intercompany leases and service agreements.
Participation in annual tax training to keep apprised of new tax rules, regulations, and how they relate to the Affiliated Entities and their partners.
Other duties may include assisting with external audit preparation and other special projects.

The qualifications.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
Requires three (3) to five (5) years of accounting experience. Must have some tax acumen. Position does not require a tax expert; however, it does require someone who is familiar with taxes and has an interest in providing this specialized function for the firm, its affiliated entities, and its partners.
CPA or MBA a plus
Experience with Financial Reporting Systems
Experience or interest in tax return preparation is a plus
Strong Technical skills with Microsoft products, including Excel, Wor,d and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to promote positive working relationships and explain/interpret accounting information to non-financial people

This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience is provided in accordance with applicable state requirement. Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO or IL. Please review the position location for the applicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows: $4,458.33-$6,500.00
Illinois monthly base range is as follows: $4,500.00-$6,583.33
