At Capita, we’re looking for compassionate and detail-oriented professionals to join our Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS) as Functional Specialists.

In this role, you’ll use your clinical knowledge to carry out functional assessments and compile evidence-based reports that help the Northern Ireland Department for Communities (NIDFC) make informed decisions about benefit claims.

Job Description

What You’ll be doing :

Conduct telephone assessments and face-to-face functional assessments of individuals with disabilities or health conditions.
Compile clear, concise and factual medical reports - no treatment or diagnosis required.
Collaborate with regional managers and administrators to meet service level agreements.
Use IT systems to support clinical decision-making and report writing.
Embrace ongoing feedback and professional development.

What We’re Looking for :

One year's post-registration experience as a nurse (RMN, RNLD, RGN), occupational therapist, physiotherapist, paramedic or doctor
Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, GMC), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN
Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
A professional, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset.
Willingness to undergo BPSS security clearance.

Successful candidates will be required to successfully complete government baseline personnel security standard vetting. This is the recognised standard for the pre-employment screening of individuals with access to government asset
