Marketing & Social Media Assistant (Part-Time)

SPAR Eastgate, an award-winning convenience retailer in Cork, is on the hunt for a vibrant and creative Marketing & Social Media Assistant to join our team at SPAR, Little Island.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing & Social Media Assistant to support our marketing efforts. This part-time role offers flexibility and might suit a marketing student or someone looking for a second job or additional hours in marketing and content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation, scheduling, and posting of social media content across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok, etc.
Help develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and brand awareness
Collaborate with the team to design graphics, edit videos, and produce content that aligns with SPAR Eastgate’s brand identity
Monitor and report on social media performance, providing insights and suggestions for improvements
Assist in coordinating promotions, events, and in-store activations to engage our community and increase foot traffic
Manage social media interactions, responding to customer inquiries and comments in a timely manner
Support administrative tasks related to marketing as needed

Key requirements:

A passion for marketing and social media, with a creative flair and attention to detail
Experience or studies in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
