Senior Surveyor (12-month FTC)

Location - Galway/Limerick

We currently have a great opportunity for a Senior Surveyor to join our very successful commercial regional Valuation & Advisory team.

The position can be based within either our Galway or Limerick offices. Being regionally based, the role will primarily cover the west and northwest, but also stretch into the southern region. The role will involve delivering high quality valuation services across all sectors of the market including retail, office, industrial, living and development land. We are looking for someone who will fit with the friendly, sociable, dedicated and hardworking team dynamic.

You will primarily be involved in preparing detailed valuation reports for banks, investors, developers, and corporate clients for a variety of commercial property types. You will also work closely with the other V&A teams across the country as well as the local transactional agency teams. Core responsibilities include:

Carry out Red Book valuations and provide strategic advice on a wide range of commercial property types, including retail, office, industrial, investment and mixed-use assets to a variety of clients.
Work on a mix of regular mandates as well as loan security valuations
Be able to take day to day responsibility for execution of instructions under minimum supervision
Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
Support business development initiatives and help grow our Valuation & Advisory offering.
Play an active role in the development of more junior team members
Preparing valuation reports, in various formats
Inspection of assets along the west coast of Ireland
Ensure compliance with RICS standards and internal quality procedures.

Person Specification:

Chartered surveyor with post-qualification experience in commercial property valuation.
Good property market and wider economic and business knowledge.
Excellent report writing skills.
Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.
Able to work under own supervision but also as part of a wider national valuation team.

Qualifications:

RICS qualification
Will be RICS Registered Valuer accredited
