Head of Marketing Planning Excellence - 12m FTC

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing Planning - Planning Excellence, to join our Marketing Planning & Partnerships team in Marketing Services, at Flutter UK & Ireland on a 12month fixed-term contract.

This is a newly formed role that will enable effective planning connection points between UKI brands and Marketing Services, acting as a conduit across teams. You will lead the adoption of shared frameworks, processes, playbooks, and governance that make collaboration more efficient, strategic, and portfolio-led—maximising the Flutter Edge.

Success will be measured by clear alignment, reduced friction, and strong adoption of shared ways of working at the interface between teams. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing Planning & Partnerships, Brand teams, and Marketing Services to ensure brand objectives are supported and delivery is operationally ready.

What you’ll do

Own the central marketing planning operating model, embedding shared frameworks, principles, templates, playbooks, and governance to raise standards, improve efficiency, and reduce friction across UKI brands and Marketing Services.

Lead senior-level, cross-brand collaboration and prioritisation, clarifying objectives and support requirements, setting up key forums, and driving alignment, decision-making, and best-practice sharing across the UKI portfolio.

Provide a clear, portfolio-level view of Marketing Services resource requirements, identifying conflicts, dependencies, and constraints, and supporting prioritisation and reallocation where required.

Identify gaps, tensions, and opportunities across the portfolio, working with brands and Marketing Services to resolve issues and unlock improvements.

Develop and deploy insights, measurement, and performance tools to enable data-led planning decisions and continuous optimisation.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning, strengthening planning capability and impact across brands and Marketing Services.

How you’ll do it

Proven experience in marketing planning, integrated marketing, or marketing operations, ideally at a portfolio or multi-brand level.

Deep understanding of brand, media, digital, CRM, creative marketing, and measurement, with the ability to apply insight to strategic decisions.

Skilled at designing and embedding frameworks, processes, and repeatable ways of working to improve efficiency and consistency across multiple brands.

Experienced in navigating complex, multi-brand organisations, simplifying complexity, and influencing senior stakeholders to drive alignment and prioritisation.

Strong senior stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence to lead cross-brand discussions and forums.

Collaborative, proactive, and results-focused, able to embed new ways of working and raise planning standards across a portfolio of brands.
