Role Description

The Sales Associate will report to our Sales Manager for Ireland. This role is Field based - Covering Ireland South Region (Cork and Kerry) They will provide a key role in supporting the growth of our fragrances, personal care, and gifting product portfolio across our existing customer base and also for new business. This is a customer-facing, field-based role involving regular visits to retail stores, independent retailers, pharmacies, gift shops, beauty outlets, and other trade customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for merchandising, sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and a genuine interest in the cosmetics, beauty, fragrance, gifting, and consumer goods sectors. Previous experience selling consumer products to retail customers is highly desirable.

Responsibilities And Duties

Visit existing and prospective retail customers within the assigned territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners, managers, and purchasing teams.
Present and promote the company's fragrances, personal care, and gifting product ranges.
Identify new sales opportunities and actively develop new business accounts.
Ensure products are effectively merchandised and displayed in stores.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment opportunities with customers.
Gather market intelligence, including competitor activity and customer feedback.
Support product launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal sales initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales activities, and follow-up actions.
Represent the company professionally at all times and act as a brand ambassador.
Attend Trade shows in Ireland (this may involve bank holidays/weekend working when required)

Requirements

Experience and Skills

3 Years plus sales and merchandising experience in consumer goods, FMCG, cosmetics, beauty, fragrance, personal care, gifting, or related retail sectors.
Strong affinity for sales and customer relationship management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
Proven ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into sales.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Comfortable spending a significant portion of time travelling and meeting customers face-to-face.
Proficiency in IT - Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, word, excel/databases/reporting tools (experience of SAP (Business One) a distinct advantage)
Valid driver's licence and own car (essential)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with fragrance, beauty, cosmetics, skincare, personal care, or gifting brands.
Established relationships within retail, pharmacy, gift, or beauty store channels.
Knowledge of merchandising and in-store promotional activities.
Experience managing retail accounts.
