Our paid Summer Internship Programme runs for 6 weeks, from 2nd June – 10th July 2026

You will gain valuable insights, practical experience and knowledge that will allow you to experience different areas and aspects of our business.

You will receive customised learning and development training in technical and soft skills, as part of our ‘Friday Programme.’ During your internship, you will work on a project focused on problem solving and fact finding.

Our Summer Interns also participate in CSR activities to support our local communities and ‘give back’, as well as enjoying a variety of social and team building activities.

Audit & Assurance

As a Summer Intern on the Audit & Assurance team, you’ll gain insights in to working with diverse portfolio of clients, from startups to SMEs to global multinationals, operating in various industries across Ireland, the UK and the US. You’ll be exposed to clients working in pharmaceuticals, fintech, banking, hospitality, asset management and more, and you’ll have the opportunity to work with Grant Thornton subject-matter experts and understand what a career in Audit and Assurance might look like.

Who we're looking for:

We are hiring summer interns from various disciplines, including business, computer science, STEM, accountancy, and more. We're seeking creative thinkers with fresh ideas and traditionalists who dream big. Our goal is to inspire you to grow professionally while embracing who you are personally.

If you are in your penultimate year of study and on track to get a minimum 2.1 in your degree and have strong IT skills, then we want you to work with us. You provide the ambition; we’ll provide the experience.

Benefits for internship positions: Grant Thornton interns are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program. Interns also receive a minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave, and are paid for firm holidays that fall within their internship period.

Benefits for seasonal employee positions: Grant Thornton seasonal employees are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program. Seasonal employees may also be eligible to participate in the firm’s 401(k) savings plan and employee retirement plan in accordance with applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.
