The Role

We’re looking for a Staff Engineer (Python) to join our client’s growing engineering team. You’ll work on advanced transaction monitoring solutions that help fight financial crime globally. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll design scalable systems, lead technical discussions, and mentor engineers while contributing to product innovation.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and maintain complex, scalable applications used by top financial institutions worldwide.
Lead technical architecture discussions to ensure performance, security, and maintainability.
Set high standards for technical excellence through code, documentation, and reviews.
Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to enhance engineering workflows.
Define and drive best practices in testing, observability, and reliability.
Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and capabilities.

What You’ll Bring

8+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on Python development background.
Proven success in building and scaling SaaS products.
Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, Redshift, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, SNS, SQS, etc.).
Understanding of the DevOps lifecycle, including CI/CD.
Full-stack mindset: design, build, test, deliver, and support.
Strong delivery skills, breaking down complex requirements into actionable technical tasks.

Nice to Have

Experience with data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Spark).
Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React).
