This is a senior backend engineering role focused on evolving a globally adopted observability platform into a scalable, multi-tenant application ecosystem. You will help reshape the core architecture of a high-scale SaaS product used by millions of developers and thousands of enterprises worldwide. The work centers on building a robust app platform that enables both open-source and commercial applications to seamlessly integrate with dashboards, alerts, telemetry, and incident workflows. You will operate in a highly collaborative, remote-first engineering culture that values autonomy, transparency, and technical excellence. This role requires deep SaaS platform experience and the ability to design systems that support massive scale and reliability. You will contribute to foundational decisions that define how observability applications are built and extended in the future.

Accountabilities:

Design, build, and evolve backend systems powering a multi-tenant observability application platform at global scale.
Contribute to the architectural transformation of a core product into a scalable SaaS platform supporting both open-source and commercial applications.
Develop and maintain backend services that integrate dashboards, alerts, incidents, logs, metrics, and tracing capabilities.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define platform APIs, extensibility models, and system boundaries.
Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems serving millions of users.
Participate in technical design discussions and influence long-term platform architecture decisions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to enable seamless integration of new cloud applications and features.
Maintain a strong focus on system observability, operational excellence, and production stability.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in backend engineering, ideally with a focus on large-scale SaaS platforms or distributed systems.
Strong proficiency in Go, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience required.
Proven experience designing and operating high-scale, multi-tenant systems.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, and microservices design.
Experience working with observability systems, data-intensive platforms, or infrastructure tooling is highly valued.
Solid understanding of system performance, scalability, and reliability best practices.
Ability to contribute to complex architectural decisions in a collaborative engineering environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote-first organization.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
