This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Social Media Creative Director based in Ireland.

This is a fully remote creative leadership role focused on turning client briefs into compelling, platform-native social media experiences.
You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on creative execution, translating commercial objectives and brand guidelines into clear concepts and production-ready directions.
A key part of the role is using AI creative tools directly to prototype ideas, develop visual references, and bring concepts to life before production.
You’ll work closely with designers, editors, videographers, and strategy teams to ensure every creative output is clear, consistent, and aligned with the brief.
The role spans multiple social platforms and formats, including Reels, TikTok, Stories, carousels, and short-form video.
You’ll also help evolve creative workflows by identifying emerging AI technologies that can improve ideation, iteration, and production efficiency.
Success in this position requires strong creative judgment, precise visual communication, and the ability to manage multiple client workstreams in a fast-paced remote environment.

Accountabilities

Review and interpret client briefs, identifying the commercial objectives, target audiences, brand requirements, and platform considerations behind each request.
Develop social media strategies and creative concepts that directly address client objectives and brand guidelines.
Translate strategic thinking into clear creative direction covering mood, tone, messaging hierarchy, visual treatment, and platform-specific formats.
Create detailed storyboards and scene-by-scene shot breakdowns that designers, editors, and videographers can execute accurately.
Personally use AI image-generation, video-generation, generative editing, and other creative platforms to prototype concepts, mood boards, and pre-visualizations.
Use AI-generated outputs as creative references, providing designers with precise guidance on scene composition, camera angles, transitions, pacing, and visual treatment.
Monitor emerging AI creative technologies and assess their potential value for the creative workflow.
Promote AI-assisted processes that accelerate ideation, iteration, and client turnaround while maintaining creative quality.
Brief and direct designers, videographers, and editors with clear creative and technical guidance.
Review work in progress against the brief and strategy, provide structured feedback, and guide iterations until deliverables are client-ready.
Coordinate creative timelines with strategy and planning stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
Maintain consistent creative quality and brand standards across clients and campaigns.
Collaborate with account and strategy teams to align creative direction with client objectives, paid media, SEO, and content plans.
Present creative concepts and storyboards internally and, when required, directly to clients.
Incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders efficiently into revised creative direction.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in social media creative, art direction, content strategy, or a closely related role, ideally within an agency environment.
Proven experience translating client briefs into executed social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
Experience directing designers, videographers, editors, or production teams through detailed, scene-by-scene execution.
Hands-on, practical experience with AI creative tools, including image generation, video generation, generative editing, or AI-assisted storyboarding. This is an essential requirement.
Strong storyboarding and shot-planning abilities, with the capacity to communicate visual direction clearly and precisely.
Deep understanding of platform-native content formats across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and similar channels.
Excellent creative writing and concept-development skills.
Strong presentation and communication skills for internal and client-facing creative pitches.
Ability to manage multiple client briefs, campaigns, and creative workstreams simultaneously.
Familiarity with paid social performance metrics and an understanding of how creative influences campaign results is a plus.
Previous experience creating content for GCC or MENA markets is an advantage.
