A Data Science Internship at Corlytics is an exciting opportunity to gain experience working with the Corlytics team on cutting-edge AI technologies applied to regulatory compliance. You will work closely with data scientists and compliance and legal subject matter experts, gaining valuable hands-on experience in applying natural language processing (NLP) techniques, large language models (LLMs) and related AI/ML and data science approaches to real world use cases.

Internship – full time Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week 9am to 5:30pm with unpaid 1 hour lunch break.

June - August 2026, 3 months duration

Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with data science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and workflows (e.g. supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation).
Interest in and some exposure to natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs), or a clear willingness to learn these technologies.
Comfort working with text data, including cleaning, pre processing, and exploratory analysis.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into clear, structured steps.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders such as legal and compliance experts.
Ability to work collaboratively in a small, cross-functional team and to accept feedback and iterate quickly.
High level of attention to detail and a genuine interest in AI applications for regulatory compliance, finance, and legal domains.

Assist the data science team in the design, development and testing of AI functionality and solutions.
Perform data processing and analysis as part of dataset preparation for training and evaluation of AI systems and models.
Undertake research into AI methods and approaches, and document findings.
