A well-established food manufacturing company based in Naas, Co. Kildare is currently recruiting an Engineering Technician to join its on-site Engineering team.

This is a hands-on maintenance role within a fast-paced production environment, offering a strong salary and shift premium.

Shift Pattern:

24/7 operation
6am – 6pm
4-week rotating roster (days & nights)
30% night shift premium

Key Responsibilities:

Reactive and planned maintenance across production and site facilities
Fault-finding, repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
Installation and commissioning of equipment
Execution of preventive maintenance programmes
PLC fault diagnostics (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider)
Support utilities including compressed air and refrigeration
Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and quality standards
Liaise with suppliers and oversee contractors
Participate in on-call support as required

Requirements:

Engineering qualification or time-served Electrician/Fitter
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance role
Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
Manufacturing or food industry experience desirable
Experience with CMMS, motor control systems, pneumatics and temperature control
PLC experience an advantage
Flexible, reliable and able to work on own initiative
