Time Type: Full Time

At DSV we're building the world’s leading logistics and transport network. With this exciting growth comes opportunity — and we’re looking for new talent to join us.

Senior Key Account Manager
Dublin – Ballycoolin
Mon-Fri, 09.00-17.00, 40 hours

This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic customer accounts across Ireland, with a strong focus on retention, development, and long-term partnership building. Working closely with Sales, Pricing, and Product teams, you’ll collaborate across departments and transport modes to deliver consistent value and drive commercial success. As part of the Strategic Key Account Management (SKAM) team, you will build trusted relationships, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to sustainable business development—while taking ownership of year-on-year gross profit retention and growth, targeting a 10% increase against the agreed baseline.

What will you be doing?

• Manage a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, driving retention, organic growth and the identification of new commercial opportunities within the existing book of business.
• Provide clients with informed guidance and strategic support, using market insight and awareness of geopolitical developments to help them make effective supply chain decisions.
• Identify and deliver upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the customer base, maximising account value while aligning solutions to client needs.
• Deliver a high standard of customer experience by ensuring clients feel valued through regular face-to-face meetings, business reviews and proactive relationship management.
• Manage customer escalations effectively, challenge existing processes where appropriate, identify service improvements and oversee rate submissions to support commercial objectives.
• Maintain high standards of CRM discipline, ensuring customer calls, visits, opportunities and pipeline activity are fully updated and accurately managed.
• Lead and contribute to quarterly SKAM meetings with internal stakeholders and Branch Managers to review performance, opportunities and account strategy.
• Support wider business initiatives and projects as required, contributing account management expertise and customer insight.
• Maintain strong knowledge of DSV products and services, while ensuring you are fully aware of the broader solution offering available to clients.
• Drive adoption of MyDSV across all clients within your portfolio to enhance visibility, engagement and digital service usage.
• Drive improvements in Net Promoter Score (NPS) across the CAM community through strong customer engagement and service focus.
• Use defection forecasting and account trend analysis to identify risk, spot opportunities and take proactive action to protect and grow the portfolio.

About You

• Proven experience in account management, customer development or a related commercial role, ideally within logistics, freight or supply chain services.
• Ability to influence, coach and support others, with experience working across teams and stakeholders to drive performance.
• Strong leadership presence with the confidence to build credibility internally and externally.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a positive and professional approach.
• Resilience and determination to exceed expectations and deliver results in a commercially demanding environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and credibly with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• Strong persuasion, influencing and negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
• Excellent planning, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated and able to drive success through initiative, persistence and accountability.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland as required, including occasional overnight stays.
