Environmental and Planning Team

We advise clients in a range of sectors including pharmaceutical, manufacturing, renewable energy, construction and property development (including in the area of compulsory purchase orders), transport, retail, professional services, technology and waste. We routinely advise clients on the impact of climate change, the European Green Deal and Irish climate change law on their developments, investments and strategies.

The Role - Background and experience:

We are seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) which offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work with a busy and approachable team, alongside other PAs in Ireland’s leading law firm.

The PA will be responsible for providing an end-to-end legal secretarial service for a partner and other lawyers. This is an ideal role for a high organised and enthusiastic PA who enjoys working with a broad spectrum of people across an organisation.

The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Legal PA supporting senior staff in a professional services environment
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office with an ability to deliver high quality, accurate work
A post-leaving certificate qualification e.g. a diploma/certificate in secretarial studies: relevant work experience will be considered in lieu
A high level of integrity, discretion, and trust with confidential information
Adaptable approach to work, and proven ability to work unsupervised as part of a team
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
Desire and ability to work as part of a PA team supporting partners and others

The role will include:

· Extensive diary and email management: proactively monitoring, triaging and taking action where appropriate

· Taking ownership of monthly invoicing ensuring accurate compliance with client requirements

· Assisting with client on-boarding procedures and processes, arranging Letters of Engagement and maintaining e-files

· Managing travel arrangements and accommodation requirements for partners and other team members

· Supporting business development administration and maintaining Client Relationship Database

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant document management systems (i.e. iManage platform)

· Collaborating/liaising with department lawyers and others, collaborating with cross-departmental teams
