Role Overview

As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Generative AI team, you will be responsible for building and supporting enterprise-grade applications that leverage emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to create process efficiencies and deliver business value. You will own complex technical components, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers while continuously learning and growing toward leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using best practices.
Own technical components and ensure maintainability, quality, security, and performance.
Collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
Create effective automated tests and ensure high test coverage.
Break down high-level requirements into small, testable, releasable components.
Provide support for critical applications running in production, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
Mentor colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively suggest improvements.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and fun team environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

7+ years’ experience in software development with strong full-stack and DevOps skills.
Proficiency in Git, Python & Python packaging (pip, Poetry, virtual environments) and Front-End technologies, particularly React.js.
Experience with Azure Cloud and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
Experience with REST APIs, authentication and authorization frameworks.
Database expertise (SQL, ORMs, Postgres, MySQL; relational and non-relational).
Understanding of software development security fundamentals.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred/Advantageous Experience

Azure AI services and Generative AI (LLMs).
Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
Linux administration and scripting (e.g., Bash).
Microsoft Copilot and related AI productivity tools
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
