ABOUT THE LAND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY

The Land Development Agency (LDA) is a commercial, semi-State body that seeks to maximise the supply of affordable homes on public and other land in a financially sustainable manner, supporting the creation of thriving communities and delivering ongoing positive social impact. It is overseen by an independent board of directors and is funded with €5 billion of equity capital committed by the Government. It is also permitted to borrow up to €1.25bn

The LDA has commenced construction on a number of projects on State land and has a delivery pipeline in excess of 17,000 homes. It also works in partnership with the country’s largest and most experienced homebuilders and will deliver a further 8,000 homes under the Government’s Project Tosaigh initiative.

Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin and Sandy Road in Galway.

Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a key role in managing the company’s cash flow by ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation of customer accounts. The role will work closely with internal finance, operations, and sales teams as well as external customers to maintain strong relationships, resolve queries efficiently, and support the overall financial health of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and timely preparation and issuance of customer invoices.
Monitor accounts receivable ledger to identify overdue balances and manage collections activities.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Maintain up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions.
Collaborate with internal teams to address billing queries and disputes.
Provide regular reporting on aged debtors, collections progress, and cash flow forecasting.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives in billing and collections.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis.
Ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

Proven working experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or similar finance role.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and work independently as well as collaboratively.
Proactive problem-solving approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

Desired Criteria

Industry exposure; knowledge of construction industry/property development or capital investment projects a distinct advantage
Experience working within a medium sized finance team
Exposure to the semi state sector would be advantageous.
Sage 200c experience
