Cement production is responsible for 8% of global CO2 emissions, more than aviation, shipping, and long-haul trucking combined. Ecocem is shaping the future of low carbon cement with ambitions to deliver a 50% cut in CO2 emissions from cement by 2030.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Policy & Advocacy Manager to join the Sustainability team. Success in this role means becoming a trusted strategic and operational support to the Director of Public Affairs & Sustainability, helping to turn a complex policy, standards and technical agenda into clear priorities, actions and outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in connecting technical, sustainability, communications and public affairs work so that Ecocem speaks with one clear, evidence-based voice externally. Over time, success will mean strengthening Ecocem’s relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry bodies and partners, while helping to create the market and regulatory conditions needed for low-carbon cement technologies to scale.

Responsibilities include:

Policy Alignment and Position Coordination

Support the development of evidence-based policy positions that incorporate technical expertise and sustainability objectives.

Strategic Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement

Work with Ecocem's national Public Affairs agencies to develop and maintain a network of policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
Represent Ecocem in industry associations, policy forums, conferences, and other public affairs settings to promote low-carbon construction solutions and sustainable development.

Draft and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and communications for external stakeholders, aligning messaging with company objectives and the larger public discourse on low-carbon solutions.
Coordinate with Ecocem's strategy team to provide comprehensive coverage of relevant legislation and its impact on the construction market.
