A little more about your role:

WSP’s Energy business is looking to expand its Electricity Transmission & Distribution service line in Ireland and is excited to appoint a Lead Transmission Engineer to join our team based out of the Naas office. This is a fantastic opportunity to spearhead and lead the growth of our business in Ireland, managing existing projects and securing new opportunities in the region.

In this role, you will focus on developing and enhancing relationships with Ireland’s Electricity Network Operators, winning work, and working on bids and proposals. You will also be responsible for project management and project delivery, ensuring the successful completion of projects within the assigned business.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in Electrical Design related to Ireland’s Electricity Transmission System.
Management Skills: Capable of leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including HV cable networks, Protection & Control, Substation Primary Design, Civil Engineering, and Overhead Line (OHL) Design.
Project Management and Delivery: Proven track record in managing and delivering projects successfully.
Bid Management and Proposals: Expertise in managing bids, writing proposals, and winning work.
Client Interfacing: Strong client interfacing skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
