Ohshima Ireland LTD is currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.

You will be responsible for operating CNC machines to manufacture precision parts for Aerospace, Medical, Automotive and Telecommunications industries.

Job Description

Operate CNC machining centres and various models of CNC milling machines with precision and attention to detail.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD drawings
Adjust and optimize CNC programs (G-code, M-code)
Select and set up tooling and work holding solutions
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to optimize processes
Ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100/Other Quality Standards
Work to tight tolerances and ensure the quality of output by inspecting your own work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in CNC machining
Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming
Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines desired but not essential
Familiarity with Hypermill Software desired but not essential
Familiarity with Heidenheim controllers desired but not essential
Ability to inspect parts using callipers, micrometres, and CMMs
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Training will be provided in areas where skills and knowledges gaps are identified.
