HR Coordinator

Permanent Full Time Post

(35 hours per week)

Bon Secours Hospital Tralee is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality HR services across our hospital. Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee data management, and HR operations—ensuring alignment with our mission, values, and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

Provide efficient administrative support across recruitment, HR records, correspondence, and meetings.

Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage interview scheduling, candidate documentation, Garda Vetting, and onboarding support.

HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate employee data and personnel files, administer leave requests, and ensure GDPR and policy compliance.

Employee Relations & Reporting: Support HR projects, assist with employee relations cases, compile HR metrics, and contribute to SOP development.

Training & Systems Support: Coordinate training logistics, drive engagement initiatives, and assist with HR technology rollouts and process improvements.

The successful candidate must possess the following at a minimum:

Strong HR generalist experience in a similar role.
CIPD Accreditation desirable
Relevant experience in a Healthcare Environment desirable.
An appropriate third level qualification or relevant work experience.
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a team.
Strong prioritisation skills with ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
Self -starter with ability to work on their own initiative.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Proven relationship building capability.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office)
