Our Insurance & Risk team is seeking a legal secretary to support a number of fee earners on the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who wants to gain experience working as part of a busy, high performing and fast paced team.

Candidate requirements

1+ years prior experience supporting a team of solicitors in a busy environment in a legal secretary role or legal secretary qualification;
Experience using iManage, Keyhouse or another document/case management system;
Experience using a billing platform (Elite 3E or other);
Diary management and planning;
Comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment;
Strong technical skills; and
Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.

Responsibilities include

File and caseload management – accessing documents and making sure files remain updated;
Document production – drafting affidavits, memos, attendances, correspondence and other documents as required;
Client billing – making sure invoices are issued on time and accurately;
Diary management - making sure schedules are organized correctly and efficiently;
Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, including arranging specialist appointments, consultations and meetings;
Creating briefs for experts and counsel;
Managing internal and external MI;
Providing legal administrative support to the team;
Other duties as assigned.
