Qorvo’s Characterization Engineering Internships are offered in our Advanced Cellular, and Connectivity and Sensors business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Responsibilities may include:

Creating automated test software to control test equipment and execute test sequences
Assisting on the design and development of test hardware solutions to perform RF measurements
Performing RF test equipment evaluation
Supporting RF and System-on-chip (SOC) characterization testing and data analysis to provide full compliance information on Qorvo products
Measuring RF products and test devices using test equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators and digital pattern generators
Processing, verifying and analyzing the measured data; producing clear concise presentations and reports
Developing custom tool sets to aid in data visualization and big data analysis, lab efficiency tracking, and lean manufacturing metrics
Gain experience and working knowledge of ultrawideband sub-systems, as well as analogue/mixed-signal and RF circuits.
Gain experience working with ARM based embedded systems and System-on-a-chip (SOC) supporting cutting-edge UWB radio technology

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience preferred
Some Programming Language Exposure: Python or C preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
