The Electrical – LSS Engineering Technician will join our team based at a Biotech client site in Dundalk. Working with like-minded experts, alongside our LotusWorks Mechanical team on the site. You will be involved with all Life Safety and Electrical systems (medium, low and extra low voltage). You will liaise with the maintenance planning team and Engineering team to develop maintenance schedules as well as working with external service providers who attend site to execute maintenance work as per respective Service Level Agreements. The facility is state of the art and provides the opportunity to work on new equipment and world class processes

Responsibilities:

Use site CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to schedule, carry out, record all planned and corrective maintenance activities. Database design, development, monitoring and SQL script authoring.
Execute the maintenance strategy for all Life Safety Systems Equipment, Smoke detection, aspiration systems, Fire Alarm, Cause & Effect, Gas Detections, Fire Suppression Equipment
Standby and Emergency generator operation, refuelling and routine preventative maintenance services according to site requirements
Emergency lighting (central battery systems) supply, distribution and inspection, annual duration verification tests and repair, replacement including battery replacement as required
Transformer, Electrical Automation system (EAS), Electrical switching HV and LV.
All site (internal and external) Lighting change out (bulbs, ballasts, fittings), regardless of access or height issue.
Substations - Substation maintenance including primary and secondary injection testing of circuit breakers.
Visual and thermographic checks and repairs of all equipment including equipment panels, lighting/small power boards, main boards, and MCCs.
Emergency electrical systems - Maintain, inspect, test and repair all emergency electrical systems, UPS, Lighting, Clocks, Alarms, Remote Monitoring.
Lightning Protection System –Testing, maintenance and repair/replacement.
Electric Motors – Testing, maintenance, fault finding and replacing of electric motors.

Skills Required:

Life Safety Systems Operation and Maintenance experience essential.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Experience in Electrical systems (medium, low and extra low voltage).
You should be willing to work as part of a multi discipline team with a degree of cross skilling.
You will be familiar with the Site services agreements and Warrantees and will make appropriate vendor support call-ins as required to support the business requirements.
Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.

Education / Licenses / Certifications:

The successful candidate will have time served Electrical trades experience or Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering plus a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
