Bon Secours Hospital Cork is Ireland’s largest private hospital. Established in 1915, the Hospital has 343 beds, employs over 1,000 staff and cares for more than 100,000 patients per annum. It is an acute general hospital providing an extensive range of medical and surgical specialities for both adults and children including Oncology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, General Surgery and Radiotherapy Services.

Bon Secours Hospital Cork is a teaching hospital of UCC thereby making a significant contribution to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in medicine, nursing and allied health professions. The Hospital is proud to hold many quality accreditations including JCI, INAB and ESMO.

Post: Fixed Term contract – 6months.

Hours of work: To be confirmed at offer stage.

Essential Eligibility Criteria:

The ideal candidate will possess the required qualifications for a Physiotherapist
Have CORU Registration
Possess excellent Interpersonal Skills
Acute hospital post graduate experience desirable
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in department technology and quality practices
Be competent, innovative, reliable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
Excellent planning & organizational skills

Role Responsibilities of the post include, and are not limited to:

Perform routine work to the highest standard, as determined
This role will include evening and weekend work

Elective Orthopaedics & Acute Medical wards which includes Neurology, Elderly Care, Respiratory, Oncology, Cardiology and Rheumatology in an acute patient setting. Rosters will be Tuesday to Saturday or Tuesday to Friday on Orthopaedics
