Coffee Business Development Specialist

The Fruit People · Dublin · €40,000 base salary · €75,000+ OTE (Uncapped Commission)

About The Fruit People

We look after over 1,000 workplaces across Dublin with fresh fruit, specialty coffee, snacks, office catering, and fully managed kitchens. Over ten years we’ve grown mostly through referrals and great service. Coffee is now one of our biggest growth areas, and we’re looking for someone who can sell it brilliantly and make it brilliantly.

The Role

This is a full-cycle B2B sales role with a hands-on coffee twist. You’ll grow coffee and coffee machine sales across our existing clients and win new business across Greater Dublin, owning every deal from first conversation to signed contract.

Your secret weapon is the coffee tasting. Getting into an office and pouring great coffee for the team is the best way we know to show what we can do, and it’s where most of our coffee deals begin.

Coffee is your lead, but you can sell our full range too, and bundling fruit, snacks, and catering into bigger packages is how you’ll really grow your earnings. Success is measured by tastings delivered, deals closed, and revenue and margin won.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee Tastings — Your Foot in the Door: Book and run in-office tastings that showcase our coffee, our service, and our wider range. Turn curious staff into champions, then follow up fast to convert the buzz into trials and contracts.

New Business Hunting: Build your own pipeline through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and regular visits to businesses across Dublin, alongside inbound marketing leads.

Account Growth & Full-Range Selling: Introduce or upgrade coffee across our existing clients, and spot opportunities to add fruit, snacks, catering, or managed kitchens.

Equipment Know-How: Recommend the right machine for each space (bean-to-cup, traditional espresso, filter), and understand setup, calibration, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting well enough to support installs.

Closing & Handover: Build proposals that protect margin, negotiate and close, then hand over smoothly to our account and service teams.

CRM: Keep HubSpot accurate so you always know which deals are moving and which need a push.

Requirements

2–4 years closing B2B deals, managing the full cycle from cold outreach to sign-off.

Real barista skills and the confidence to perform: you can dial in espresso, steam milk properly, talk beans, roasts, and extraction, and you enjoy making coffee for a room full of people.

Practical experience with commercial coffee equipment, bean-to-cup and/or traditional espresso.

Confidence self-sourcing new business and structuring deals that protect margin.

Strong communication skills, comfortable with office managers, facilities leads, procurement, and executives.

Disciplined CRM habits (HubSpot a plus).

A full, clean driving licence, as you’ll regularly be calling in to clients and prospects at their premises.

Desirable

Experience in office coffee services, roasting, hospitality, or equipment sales. Barista training or SCA certification. Existing contacts among Dublin offices.

Why Join Us?

Uncapped commission, with real upside from selling our full range. Ownership of a growing category, high visibility with leadership, and full support from our operations and account teams. And a friendly, respected brand with products people genuinely love.
