Purpose of team and role:

The Behavioural Science team applies behavioural insights to improve the design and delivery of patient-focused initiatives. Embedded within the Patient Engagement team, our purpose is to better understand human behaviour. By understanding how patients think, feel, and act, we help create more effective communications, support tools, and engagement strategies. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to explore how behavioural science can be applied in real-world settings. Working alongside behavioural scientists and patient engagement professionals, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of projects that aim to improve patient outcomes and experiences.

This is an ideal role for a curious and thoughtful individual, who’s passionate about psychology, behavioural science, or health communication and wants to see how these fields come together in practice.

Responsibilities:

As part of the team, you’ll:

Support behavioural research activities, including literature reviews and research summaries
Help analyse patient insights and behavioural data to identify themes and opportunities
Assist in the creation or review of patient-facing materials using behavioural science frameworks
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and help bring a behavioural lens to team discussions
Support the preparation of presentations, internal documents, and practical tools
Take part in team meetings and cross-functional collaborations to learn how behavioural science fits into the bigger picture

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in 3rd level education and ready to pursue student placement as part of an undergraduate/master’s program
Strong interest in applying behavioural science to real-world challenges
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarise information clearly and accurately
