Head of Marketing Portfolio Planning - 12m FTC

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing Planning – Portfolio Initiatives to join our newly formed Marketing Planning & Partnerships team in Marketing Services Flutter UK & Ireland on a 12 month contract.

This role ensures UKI brands deliver maximum impact across portfolio-level opportunities. You will lead alignment on key marketing moments, major campaigns, and shared initiatives, coordinating teams to prioritise and execute high-impact activity.

Success will be reflected in stronger campaign cohesion, improved cross-functional collaboration, reduced delivery friction, and better outcomes for both the portfolio and individual brands.

The role also supports the Director of Marketing Planning & Partnerships on strategic UKI partnerships, ensuring they are well planned, governed, activated, and measured at scale

What you’ll do

Lead portfolio-level alignment across brands, setting priorities for key marketing moments, major campaigns, and shared initiatives to maximise Flutter Edge, and bringing brands together at key touchpoints to work collectively alongside Marketing Services.

Ensure brands have the right insights, information, and data to make effective strategic and investment decisions at both the brand and portfolio level.

Identify portfolio-level media opportunities aligned to brand objectives, assessing costs and benefits, and leading discussions with agencies and partners where required.

Lead senior cross-functional forums and stakeholder discussions, driving alignment, prioritisation, and decision-making across brands and Marketing Services.

Own the portfolio view, identifying opportunities, removing blockers, optimising resource allocation, and guiding investment decisions to deliver maximum impact.

Embed collaboration and continuous improvement across propositions, creative, media, comms, and measurement, ensuring learning and best practice are captured and shared.

Support strategic partnerships, deliver maximum impact and ROI through effective alignment, governance, and activation aligned to the business strategic objectives.

What you’ll bring

Proven multi-discipline marketing experience across Planning, Creative, Media, Propositions, CRM, and Measurement, ideally at a portfolio or multi-brand level.

Experience managing strategically important marketing partnerships or sponsorships, delivering alignment, governance, and measurable impact.

Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to lead discussions with directors and cross-functional teams to drive alignment and decisions across brands and Marketing Services.

Collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to embed new ways of working and raise planning standards across a portfolio of brands.

Skilled at integrating market, media, and consumer insights to inform strategy, optimise investments, and maximise brand and portfolio impact.

Strong problem-solving skills, able to anticipate risks, unblock delivery, and guide prioritisation across complex, multi-brand initiatives.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed, multi-brand environment, balancing strategic oversight with operational delivery.
