General Summary:

Job Description

Accelerating the Future of CPU Design

Why This Role Exists:

The complexity of modern CPU development is growing faster than engineering teams can scale. More RTL, more verification, more data, more tools, more design iterations—and increasingly, more opportunities for AI to fundamentally change how engineering is done.

Our success will not be determined solely by how many engineers we hire. It will be determined by how effectively every engineer can create, analyze, verify, debug, and innovate.

This role exists to remove the friction that slows world-class engineers down.

We believe that the next decade of engineering productivity will come from the combination of deep technical expertise and intelligent automation. AI is not replacing engineering judgment—it is amplifying it. The engineers in this role will help define how that amplification happens.

You will build the tools, workflows, infrastructure, and methodology that allow entire design and verification organizations to move faster, make better decisions, and spend more time solving meaningful technical problems instead of fighting inefficiencies.

The impact of your work won't be measured by a single block or feature. It will be measured by hundreds of engineers moving faster because of what you built.

What You'll Do:

You will operate at the intersection of:

Artificial Intelligence
RTL Design
Design Verification
Engineering Methodology
Infrastructure and Automation

You'll identify inefficiencies that consume engineering time and eliminate them through innovation, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.

You'll develop solutions that:

Accelerate RTL development and review
Simplify verification environment creation
Reduce debug turnaround time
Surface actionable insights from massive engineering datasets
Improve methodology adoption and consistency
Increase engineering productivity at organizational scale

You will evaluate emerging technologies, experiment with bleeding-edge AI capabilities, and transform promising ideas into production-quality solutions used by teams across the company.

Who Thrives Here:

The best candidates for this role are builders.

They see a manual process and immediately start imagining how to automate it.

They encounter an engineering bottleneck and can't stop thinking about how to eliminate it.

They are energized by creating tools that hundreds of engineers use every day.

They enjoy taking emerging technologies—especially AI—and figuring out how to apply them to real engineering challenges.

They care deeply about engineering excellence and become frustrated when talented engineers waste time on repetitive work, fractured workflows, unnecessary complexity, or poorly integrated tools.

They are naturally curious, continuously learning, and excited to explore ideas that have never been tried before.

Areas of Impact:

AI-Powered Engineering

Develop intelligent workflows that augment design and verification engineers throughout the development cycle.

Leverage agentic systems, large language models, and advanced analytics to improve engineering productivity, design quality, and decision-making.

Methodology Innovation

Define the next generation of RTL and verification methodologies by integrating AI directly into established engineering practices.

Transform how teams write code, review designs, analyze results, debug failures, and learn from data.

Infrastructure & Automation

Build scalable systems, services, and frameworks that enable engineers to focus on solving technical problems instead of managing process overhead.

Create durable platforms that become foundational to how engineering is performed.

Organizational Multiplication

Drive solutions that scale across teams, programs, and geographies.

Success is not measured by what you accomplish alone, but by how much more effective everyone becomes because of your contributions.
