For our restaurant The Idler near London Victoria Station we are looking for a Commis Chef!

The concept

Our restaurant will be a place for breakfast and all day dining. The kitchen and bar are working together very

closely since there is an open kitchen bar that runs through the restaurant. The restaurant will be serving an all

day food menu that consists of creative and high quality dishes to share (or not). The all day dining menu plays

tribute with a playful spin on British Classics where dishes are uncomplicated, true to their ingredients and have a

real punch on British produce. Next to a restaurant and bar, the location offers three 8 pax meeting rooms and a Deli.

The Job

At The Idler, we’re all about great service, awesome teamwork, and having fun while we do it. As a Commis

Chef, you’ll be right in the heart of our kitchen, helping with food preparation, chopping, measuring, and cooking

under the guidance of our chefs. You’ll keep your station clean and organized, assist with plating and

presentation, and make sure ingredients and supplies are ready when needed. You’ll learn new techniques,

support your teammates, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly so every dish we serve is top quality.

What we are looking for:

● Reliable, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about hospitality.

● Previous experience is a plus, but keen to learn new skills and grow within a high-performing kitchen.

● A team player with strong communication and a positive attitude.
