Role Overview

As an Account Solution Engineer (also known as a "Presales Consultant" or "Sales Engineer"), you are the visionary who transforms customer experiences. You aren’t just a technical expert; you are a strategic partner to Sales, owning the solutioning throughout the entire sales cycle. You will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, translating complex business objectives into enticing, practical recommendations that drive real change.

Business Acumen & Strategic Impact

Business Transformation Advocate: You are passionate about how technology solves real-world business puzzles. You enjoy digging into a company’s value chain to find where Salesforce can drive the most impact.
The "Bottom Line" Mentality: You understand that technology is only as good as the business outcome it creates. You are excited by the challenge of connecting high-level business strategy to technical execution.

Strategic Sales Partner: You thrive on the "win." You act as a co-pilot to the sales team, bringing a strategic lens to every deal to ensure we aren't just selling software, but building a long-term partnership.

The Ideal Profile: Passion & Mindset

Demonstrated Passion for Technology & AI

The "First to Know": You are a true technophile. You don't just wait for training; you are already experimenting with the latest in Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic workflows.
AI Visionary: You have a clear passion for how AI is transforming the workforce. You are eager to show customers how Agentforce and autonomous agents can augment human productivity.
Continuous Learner: You have a "Growth Mindset." Whether it’s passing a new Salesforce Certification or exploring a new API, you are driven by a natural curiosity to understand the how and why behind the tech.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Partnership: Act as the technical "North Star" for the sales team, aligning technical strategy with business outcomes to close complex deals.
Solution Innovation: Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions and demos (including Agentforce and Data Cloud) that address unique business challenges and prove tangible value.
Lead the Cycle: Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with other high-performing teams (Product, Marketing, Professional Services).
Value Communication: Articulate the benefits of Salesforce to audiences at every level—from IT Administrators to C-suite executives—using industry-specific insights.
Continuous Growth: Maintain expert-level knowledge of Salesforce products and industry trends to remain effective in a performance-driven environment.

Experience & Background

We are looking for a diverse range of backgrounds to join our high-performing UKI team. Whether you are a career SE or looking to pivot your technical and business acumen into a pre-sales career, we want to hear from you.
Core Experience (One or more of the following):

Solution Excellence: A proven track record in Solution Engineering (Pre-sales), technical consulting, or professional services delivery within an enterprise software organization.
Strategic Sales & Account Management: Experience in Account Management or Solution Selling, with a focus on navigating complex sales cycles and acting as a strategic partner to sales leadership.
SaaS & Cloud Fluency: Deep familiarity with the SaaS (Software as a Service) landscape, including an understanding of subscription-based business models and cloud architecture.
Consultative Mindset: A background in Business Consulting, with the ability to perform deep discovery, identify "pain points," and map them to high-value technology roadmaps.
Technical Foundation: A strong Technical Background—this could be a degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience with APIs, data modeling, or software development.
