Accountabilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting financial products and payment infrastructure.
Build and optimize systems related to payouts, reconciliation, onboarding automation, fraud detection, and financial transaction workflows.
Collaborate closely with data science, product, and leadership teams to define technical solutions and product strategies.
Improve infrastructure scalability, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency as the platform grows globally.
Integrate and maintain connections with banking partners, financial service providers, and third-party APIs.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term system improvements.
Contribute to the development of future financial products, including lending, payment flexibility solutions, and additional fintech offerings.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while following modern software engineering best practices.
Support cross-functional initiatives by contributing to internal tooling, customer issue resolution, vendor evaluations, and operational improvements.
Participate actively in technical discussions, architectural decisions, and iterative product development processes.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience as a backend or software engineer working on complex, scalable production systems.
Strong experience in fintech or financial services environments with exposure to transaction systems, financial workflows, or payment infrastructure.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language with strong backend development expertise.
Solid SQL skills with experience writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries.
Experience designing scalable distributed systems and maintaining high-availability production environments.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities.
Experience building and maintaining APIs and integrations with third-party services.
Commitment to software quality through testing, code reviews, and iterative development practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills within remote and cross-functional teams.
Self-driven and proactive mindset with the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving startup environments.
Experience with Python, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, React, or SPA applications is considered a plus.
