If you are looking for an opportunity to build innovative cloud-native solutions, work with AI/ML technologies, and make a direct impact on customers migrating to AWS, this might be the role for you.
Our team is responsible for the development of DMS Schema Conversion — the cloud-based service within AWS Database Migration Service that automatically assesses and converts database schemas, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects from commercial databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase) to AWS-native targets such as Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora.
DMS Schema Conversion is an instrument for automatic conversion of database metadata to a format compatible with the target database or service located in the AWS cloud. We are actively integrating Generative AI capabilities to automate time-intensive conversion tasks, reducing manual effort for customers and accelerating their migration journey.
As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you will tackle challenging distributed systems problems, design and build features that serve customers at scale across 29+ AWS regions, and contribute to the next generation of AI-powered migration tooling.

AWS DMS team is a part of AWS Utility Computing (UC) which provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
