This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a New Business Director based in Ireland.

This senior leadership role will own the launch and continued growth of a financial services operation in the Netherlands.
You will serve as the central point of contact across strategic partners, prospective clients, regulators, vendors and external advisors.
The position combines business development, strategic partnerships, market launch execution and new business initiatives.
You will coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Data and Finance to deliver market objectives.
Once launched, you will remain accountable for partner growth, profitability, performance metrics and operational development.
The role offers significant autonomy in a fast-moving fintech environment where strategy and execution are closely connected.
You will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer while working with senior stakeholders across Europe and Latin America.

Accountabilities

Act as the senior point of contact for key relationships across strategic partners, prospective clients, regulators, financial institutions, vendors and external advisors.
Maintain a 360-degree view of the country operation, connecting priorities across Growth, Product, Finance, Legal, Risk and other specialist teams.
Own the launch of Netherlands operations and potentially support launches in additional European markets.
Build and execute launch plans across Product, Legal and Compliance, Risk, Data and Finance, ensuring workstreams remain aligned with milestones and timelines.
Identify blockers, coordinate their resolution and maintain accountability across cross-functional teams throughout the launch process.
Manage executive relationships with strategic partners, understanding their priorities and identifying opportunities for mutual growth.
Own growth strategies for existing partners, including growth and profitability targets, platform success metrics and performance initiatives.
Monitor and analyze key business metrics, identify trends and performance gaps, and develop action plans with Product, Risk, Finance and partner teams.
Lead regular partner coverage meetings, monthly business updates and quarterly executive presentations.
Support the strategic partnerships pipeline, including developing relationships with prospective partners and contributing to deal execution.
Represent the business at relevant fintech and industry events across the region to build relationships and identify new partnership opportunities.
Evaluate and support new business opportunities across segments, products and markets, including strategy development, analysis, approval and execution.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in high-growth fintech, technology, consulting, investment banking or a comparable environment, with a demonstrated ability to take complex initiatives from strategy through launch.
Experience in payments, lending, embedded finance or fintech is preferred.
Strong commercial judgment and credibility when engaging with senior executives, financial institutions, legal advisors, regulators and other external stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage strategic partnerships, business development initiatives and complex cross-functional programs.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret business performance metrics, identify drivers of deviation and translate insights into practical action.
Builder mentality, with high ownership, a strong bias for action and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with limited structure.
Ability to coordinate multiple teams and workstreams while maintaining focus on strategic objectives and execution timelines.
AI-native approach, with strong familiarity using AI tools to accelerate research, analysis and execution while applying appropriate judgment.
Fluency in English is required; Dutch is strongly preferred and Spanish is considered a plus.
Authorized to work in the Netherlands and the European Union.
