Job Description

The Grant Thornton Business Risk Services team is currently seeking a driven and self-motivated IT Audit Manager, ideally with a professional services background. This candidate should be comfortable in delivering across product lines and client sectors.

The BRS team comprises 250 risk advisory professionals who deliver a variety of services to our clients across the financial services, life sciences, food/ agriculture, construction, industrial, technology, energy, multi-national and public sectors.

Candidates for this Manager role should hold a relevant IT qualification with distinct and relevant experience of best practice IT Audit standards, including internal audit and delivery methodologies. Candidates should be comfortable in delivering assignments spanning IT governance, IT risk, IT regulatory, IT control assurance, including IT Sox) and IT compliance (including frameworks such as ISO:27001).

This role provides strong candidates with the opportunity to become a key member of the team and play a part in the continued and successful growth of the business unit whilst working closely with colleagues throughout the firm in a rapidly growing area of the business.

Main duties and responsibilities

Leading the delivery of IT audit (external and internal) and risk consulting services to clients
Managing client stakeholders throughout the audit cycle
Reporting to BRS management
Have excellent communication and written reporting skills
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with good initiative
Good level of IT literacy with a track record of using the full MS Office suite

Experience/ Qualifications

Qualification relevant to IT audit, IT risk management, internal audit, consulting e.g. CISA, CRISC, COBIT 2019 Fundamentals, ISO:270001 Lead Auditor etc. with demonstratable relevant experience
Demonstrated experience in review and assessment of IT control frameworks , risk and controls and the communication of summary information to team leads and client stakeholders
Possesses good working knowledge of IT regulatory requirements and associated IT risk frameworks such as COBIT, COSO, NIST etc.
5+ years’ direct delivery experience in IT audit and/ or risk consulting, in practice or industry

We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager to be part of our Consulting practice. The role offers a chance to contribute to and support a variety of client engagements, helping drive project team success within the finance transformation, project management and change and innovation space. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Finance Transformation, Operational Excellence and Finance Technology Implementation as we continue to drive impactful change across these key sectors.

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver and manage projects across a range of key areas, including:

Project Management Delivery

Supporting the delivery of complex projects and programmes for key clients ensuring high-quality outputs and successfully meeting tight deadlines.
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and an ability to work to strict deadlines.
Supporting projects across all stages of the project life cycle.
Working with cross-functional teams spanning multiple business units and functions.
Identifying and implementing innovative process improvements and solutions.
Building client relationships and interacting proactively with key stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and provide analysis to inform client deliverables; and
Apply learnings from ongoing / prior projects and prior career experience to provide innovative and holistic solutions to clients.

Business Development

Acting as a key liaison between multi-faceted project teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
Supporting the facilitation of workshops to define project scopes and business requirements, documenting and sharing outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
Engaging stakeholders across various disciplines to drive project momentum and success.
Supporting and driving business development initiatives, including the preparation of proposals and tenders for new client opportunities.

Skills and Experience

Education and Certifications

A third level degree, with a strong academic record.
It is highly desirable to have or be working towards or have a recognised accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, QFA, etc
Minimum of 2- 3 years of relevant experience.

Skills and Competencies

Experience working on projects that deliver business change in one or more of the following areas would be perferredpreferred:
- Finance process improvement and automation in a finance setting (e.g., Order to Cash; Procure to Pay; Record to Report; Budgeting and Planning)
- Shared Services and Outsourcing programmes
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations
- Finance systems such as Oracle, SAP, MS
- Programme/ project management for large scale business and finance transformations
- Finance Reporting including Value & Performance Management.
Strong financial management experience for example, financial analysis, processes, procedures, people, systems and structures.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional and client service excellence and developing effective working relationships.
Strong multi-tasking abilities and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
A natural curiosity to explore new business opportunities.
